How pros are vetted

Every pro on Zippit has cleared, before their first job:

  • Government-ID verification.
  • Background check covering criminal record and sex offender registries (refreshed annually).
  • Trade-license verification where the work requires it — plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
  • A skills review by an existing top-rated pro in the same trade.

Insurance on every job

Zippit carries a $2M general liability policy that covers every booking on the platform. Damage caused during a job is filed against this policy — you do not chase the pro for it.

In-app safety

  • Pros only see your address after they accept the booking; messages and calls are routed through Zippit so phone numbers stay private.
  • A panic button in the app silently notifies Zippit safety on duty and shares your live location.
  • All chat messages are retained for 12 months in case they need to be reviewed.

Reporting an incident

If something feels wrong — during, after, or even before a job — tell us. We answer reports within one hour, 7 days a week.
